- Here's a cool applet that displays video files. The client doesn't need to download the whole video file before watching it. The client communicates with a video server and, using a "sliding window" protocol, shows the video in real-time.

This site also offers a Java painting program, in which you can "paint" in real time and then save your work in "The Gallery."
